Cosette: Matriarch Profile Introduction Cosette, whose name draws inspiration from the central character in the play "Les Misérables," stands out as a remarkable matriarch within the herd. Offspring and Their Characteristics To date, Cosette has produced seven offspring: Delgado, Spice, Zesty, Dakota, Cinco, Phantom, and Te Ata. Each of these crias exhibits consistently friendly temperaments, making them enjoyable to handle and interact with. They are also noted for their excellent fiber density, a highly valued trait in alpacas, and distinctively long eyelashes, which add to their unique appearance. Among her offspring, Zesty is the only one with a brown coat, while the others are gray. Future Breeding Plans Looking ahead, Cosette is scheduled to breed this spring with Nicaeus. It is anticipated that she will deliver a cria in the spring of 2027, continuing her legacy of producing exceptional offspring. .

Charlotte is a stunning young female out of RR Valentina, the densest female alpaca yet biopsied through Ian Watt. Valentina is also one of our most prized production females. Her sire, RR Touchstone is not too shabby either... She is a dilution white from a fawn dam and brown sire, She can be bred for white or color.

We are excited to add this girl to our herd. She has soft fleece with great density and the brightness Lover is known for. Definitely a show prospect.

Not only does she have a packed grey background, she has the same sweet demeanor that both dam and sire possess, making her a doll. Victoria carries a long staple and good size for her age.

Elixir’s unique markings catch peoples attention from the moment they see her. She has decent bone and height to her, but could use a little more omf to her fleece both in density and character.

Voulez Vous is nearing two years old and demonstrates superior fiber characteristics. His fleece exhibits a rich red-brown hue, excellent crimp, notable density, and an exceptionally fine texture. Phantom is a solid grey male with a huge fleece and nice crimp. He is ready to start his breeding career but is too related to the rest of the herd. The density is elite, the uniformity both within and between fiber population is exceptional , especially for a grey of any type and the S:P is very, very good. The 9.9 micron count is rare indeed and came from a derived secondary follicle which is the sign of a very uniformly distributed follicle development in the skin. This a beautiful set of fleece numbers." What a great combination of genetics created Delgado. His grandsire, LV Vantaggio di Bisturi is the third density alpaca with a 74.5 mm skin biopsy (as of June 2018). Throw in some Silver Rose Sentinel who has an above average density but incredible staple length. Those two factors created the dynamics to allow Delgado to shear 11.8 pounds of fiber on his small 123 pound frame.
